Here in WNY, dark , windy, light rain. Especially evening hunts. The dark light seems to get em up and moving early (we have to quit at legal sunset) and the wind seems to give them a sense of purpose for landing.

Pheasants-Give me a bitter cold day with 2-4 inches of snow on the ground and a light wind. Birds tend to bunch and also hold tight rather than running ahead.

Ducks-Dreary days work best right as a front moves in. That's here in KS but I have heard down south that clear and a bright sun was best. I have had 1 day where the ducks were flying and the sun was shining. That was early teal season so we were in t-shirts to boot. Man was that fun!
